Day Six

Today was a day of dreams and everyday philanthropy.
Tonight we took a cooked dinner to the Bomberos (Firemen). We also fulfilled a dream of filling their firetruck and ambulances with fuel (as they have to pay for it out of their own pocket and don't usually have enough money to do that!). We also found out that only a couple days ago, while they were out on a call someone came into the firehouse station and someone stole their own microwave.  Tim Brown used money raised by his youth group on Petrolia Ont (way to go guys!) to pay for a new microwave. It never ceases to amaze me how often the little thing we take for granted can make such a big difference in the lives of people here. It was the last day of work for us, tomorrow we are headed to Panachajel for a some rest and relaxation before we head home.  We are all so happy to be here, we are sad to leave but excited to see our families and friends again to share the stories and experiences we've encountered.
