Guatemala - Day Two

Okay, technically it isn't actually "day two", it is however only our second work day.

I know there are those of you waiting to read about what has been happening with the medical team.  That will be coming tomorrow!  Today is another build team update.

The build team has been busy!  In a matter of 2 days they have framed 7 homes (our target is 8), tin on 5 and 3 are virtually complete.  They are machines! They work and pound through until there is no more juice left in the batteries of the tools, or themselves.  They are giving everything they have to change the lives of the people here and it is such a privilege to be able to watch.

The end of the day however was the most exciting.  Sam (aka "Freakshow") showed up with a pinata for the kids.  It was very evident from the first swing that this wasn't there first time.  After the pinata party, we were able to hand out some stuffed animals to the kids.  The looks on their faces... priceless.

Now, for those of you familiar with our mascot "Phil", we brought him along with us to Guatemala.  The problem is we haven't been able to find him.  Well, today I found him monkeying around (sorry... I couldn't resist).  Needless to say, he was put to work right away.  The following pics are of Phil getting into the action.
